Ben Sherwin

An introduction:

Thank you for taking the time to read on:

Let me tell you how passionate I am about art!
Most of my time is spent in my studio practising and training myself to create art that is unique and positively up-lifting.

My inspiration:

Often what fuels me to go and paint is being out and about in the scenery I love, experiencing the freedom it gives me. Some might consider it as 'escapism' but I call it 'exploration'.

It all starts with an idea:

Once I'm out there, my thoughts can flow and as I look I take note of what I see, often with the camera and sketch pad, ready to come home to where it's warm and make artwork.
You could say it's similar to cooking: You come home and, having collected all the ingredients, prepare a lovely meal for everyone to enjoy.

Come and visit:

I'm often up in Bakewell, Derbyshire at the Town Hall for a local craft fair 'Dales Fairs' which can be found on Facebook with the dates of events listed. Contact me if you would like to come and see my work in real life and I'll send you dates I'm attending and where.
Please get in touch, I genuinely love to talk to people, literally about anything.
My other interests are walking, cycling, wildlife, photography.
If you want, you can also hop over to my Facebook page and get regular updates on my progress in painting.

Anjana Cawdell

I am an artist based in Nottingham. I spent my early years in Kolkata, India before moving to the United Kingdom. I believe being exposed to two different cultures have enriched me as an individual and has an influence on my work. I enjoy painting with watercolour because I love the spontaneity of the medium. My inspirations are mainly colour and nature.
